Gloucestershire Constabulary have issued an appeal for witnesses after a road traffic collision on Dyer Street in Cirencester.

At around 1.50pm on Friday 18 September, an 85-year-old woman was crossing the road and walked behind a grey Mercedes, which started reversing at a slow speed and collided with her. She was knocked to the floor causing minor facial injuries and a significant injury to her leg.

The woman was taken to Cirencester Hospital where she remains for observation.

A number of people came to her aid at the scene and police would like them to come forward to help with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 406 of Friday 18 September.
