We are appealing for three people who witnessed an assault in Gloucester earlier this week to come forward.

On the morning of Monday 4 September a 28-year-old woman had walked through Gloucester Park and was heading along Park End Road near to the zebra crossing when a man grabbed her by her jacket.

Two women and one man came to the aid of the victim who managed to escape and she ran to safety. We are now appealing for these people to come forward as they could help police with their investigation.

A 29-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on Wednesday (6/9) in connection with the incident. He was bailed to return to a police station on 28 September pending further enquiries.

If you were one of the three people who helped the victim, or have any information about the incident, call 101 and quote incident 93 of 6/9. You can also email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk and quote the same incident number.
