Community Highlighted Concern

What is a community highlighted concern?

A community highlighted concern is what your Neighbourhood team will be working on as a priority for your area. These are identified on a monthly basis as a result of a police priority setting meeting which take into account:

  • Information provided to the Community Safety Partnership
  • Information received from your local councillor
  • Community concerns raised through this website

Once prioritised your local team will work towards tackling these issues with the community and if necessary utilise the Time Based Tasking [TBT] process.

Antisocial Behaviour

03/08/2018

The community led Policing priority for the Coleford area is based on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s priority of “Young people becoming adults”. Pyart Court has been identified as a repeat location for antisocial behaviour where large groups of young people congregate. The Neighbourhood Policing Team have identified a number of persons and have sent letters of concern to the parents.

Update

17/08/2018

Further persons have been identified and are being dealt with by way of Anti-Social Behaviour Warnings or Acceptable Behaviour Contracts. When other persons are known, appropriate action will also be taken against them. The local Neighbourhood Policing Team are continuing high visibility patrols in the area and engaging with the young people. This priority remains the main focus of the team.

Accessibility and Accountability

03/08/2018

The community led Policing priority for the Coleford area is based on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s priority “Accessibility and Accountability”. A house of multiple occupancy has been identified which raises antisocial behaviour issues. The Neighbourhood Policing team have met with managers and Council members to discuss ways to move forward.

Update

17/08/2018

There has been and continues to be further liaison between both partner agencies and the Police regarding the premises. PCSO’s have been door to door in the immediate area and distributed direct contact details for the ASB line of the management company with local residents being advised to report any further incidents to them as well as Police. This remains the main focus of the Neighbourhood Policing Team in this area.
