Communities are becoming more diverse and we’re striving hard to adapt to changes in our society. Our workforce today is a rich mix of ethnic and cultural groups and we’re continuing to build on that diversity. We feel that a police service which is truly representative of the communities it serves is more sensitive and sympathetic to their needs and more likely to deliver better-tailored and lasting solutions.
We believe in equality as much within, as outside, the workforce. Hence, support networks are available for our employees in the form of Force Associations. They help to prevent discrimination within the workplace, as well as improve relations between the police and the community.
