Our open day is bigger and better than before and is returning on 16 September!

Once again we're having an open day! This is your chance to come to our Waterwells headquarters in Quedgeley, Gloucester and learn about all the different types of work we do to help make Gloucestershire a safer place to live and work in.

New this year is a programme of talks featuring some of our top detectives and experts in the following areas:

  • The Chief, the Commissioner, The Judge and the Defence Lawyer - join CC Rod Hansen, PCC Martin Surl, HH Judge Jamie Tabor QC and defence Lawyer Tim Burrows to find out what it takes to do their jobs.
  • 999 What's your Emergency? - you've seen it on TV, now hear what it takes to be a call handler
  • Intelligence to forensics, terrorism to anti-corruption - hear what it takes to be the Deputy and Assistant Chief Constable
  • Tackling domestic abuse - find out what happens in Gloucestershire to help tackle domestic abuse in the county.

If you wish to attend some of our fantastic talks then please use the booking links in the table below as they have limited spaces available. Tickets for talks will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.

As well as the always popular police dog handlers, there are demonstrations by police horse riders and the mini moto project.
You'll also be able to visit our Force Control Room which handles all 999 and 101 calls, and the Custody suite - tickets for these are available on a first-come-first-serve basis on the day.

At the bottom of this page you can find our event map with all of our exciting zones and what's in them.

The address for our headquarters is:

No. 1 Waterwells

GL2 2AN

Our open day starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm.

There is some parking available at the nearby Waterwells Park and Ride (GL2 2AA). Street parking is available within walking distance.
