Gloucestershire Constabulary Transferee recruitment is open.

Gloucestershire Constabulary faces challenging and exciting times.  We are seeking Police Constables to help us meet these challenges and to deliver our mission to keep people safe from harm and inspire the highest levels of confidence in us, their local police.

We invite applications from motivated and experienced officers who have successfully completed their probation.

Opportunities exist for officers to work within our local policing teams working with communities.   In addition, we are looking for officers with specific skills including the opportunity to work within our exciting Triforce collaboration based at Almondsbury and Portishead.  To be part of this new dynamic team you will need to be a currently accredited authorised firearms officer or trainer.

We are also looking to increase our capacity of surveillance trained officers, detectives and driver trainers.  In all these areas we will provide on-going support and continuous professional development to ensure that we have the right people, in the right place, with the right skills, at the right time.

If you want to be part of this forward thinking and innovative organisation please contact us via the People Service Centre.  If you would like to have an informal conversation or visit with us prior to making an application, then please contact the People Service Centre who will be happy to arrange this for you.

We have a strong commitment to equality and diversity both within the organisation and in the service we provide. We aim to employ a representative workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is currently under-represented in the protected characteristic groups.  These are age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.

In order to provide a high level of service, we encourage applications from all these groups and we are proud to pursue a policy of 'positive action' in an attempt to achieve this.

As part of the Equality Act 2012, positive action refers to a range of measures and initiatives that employers can lawfully take to actively encourage individuals from protected characteristic groups to apply.

As an accredited two-ticks disability user we adopt the guaranteed interview scheme. All applications will be selection on an equal basis that determines their suitability to the post applied for. For full details and to apply please email; PSC@Gloucestershire.pnn.police.uk or call; 01452 754303

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Friday 14th June 2013.
