We Can Help You at Hope House Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

You can visit Hope House SARC in person or phone us.  

We can help you report the incident to the police, but only if you wish to do so. We can offer further help through other agencies such as Gloucestershire Rape Crisis Centre, Victim Support, Domestic Abuse Support & Advocacy, Gloucestershire Central Allocation and Referral Point (Novas Scarman Group) and A & E Departments.

If you, or someone you know has been the victim of sexual assault we are here to help at Hope House SARC, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Gloucester.

All enquires are treated confidentially and you are supported throughout the whole process.

Access to the SARC is on Great Western Road. If coming by car, drive to the Orchard entrance. Follow the road to the end, turn left at the mini roundabout, then take the next turning on the left. Hope House (Sexual Health Services building) will be on your right, and Hope House SARC, at the rear of this building, is clearly sign posted from there with the Hope House SARC logo.

If you are accessing the SARC on foot, please use the Western Entrance on Great Western Road which is for pedestrians only.

 

What Services we offer

If you, or somebody you know has been raped or sexually assaulted,  staff at Hope House SARC can provide:

  • Understanding and emotional support

  • Confidential treatment and First Aid / medical care

  • Emergency contraception if necessary

  • Information on other agencies who will be able to help

  • A change of clothing

  • Access  to the Police to gather evidence and investigate your assault
