- Priority:Speeding vehicles approaching the village of Bisley
- Action:
- archer speed radar to be placed at key points into the village to facilitate required data of vehicle speed.
- conduct staffed speed checks in key points around the village.
- to compile the data received from the survey's and report back to the panel on those results.
- use enforcement action where applicable to any speeding offence.
- Area:Stroud Rural
- Priority:Dog fouling in Minchinhampton in the areas of the High Street , Bell Lane and the Glebe Estate.
- Action:
stroud district council is the lead agency regarding this priority.
- to educate dog owners on their responsibilities to the community regarding their dogs fouling.
- To facilitate positive enforcement action where evidence is available.
to assist stroud district council by a multi-agency working to reduce the amount of dog fouling identified by the panel and the community in the consultation process.
- Area:Stroud Urban
- Priority:Speeding vehicles using Rodborough Hill
- Action:
- speed checks and results to be carried out weekly at the location and the results collated as evidence to present to panel at the next meeting.
- to physical inspection of the area to establish best location to place archer device if speed needs to be monitored in more detail from initial survey carried out by sct.
- to provide positive enforcement in the area at initial stages to add to data to be presented to panel.
- Area:Stroud Urban
- Priority:Litter in the Paganhill estate namely Park Road and Mill Farm Drive
- Action:
- stroud district council is the lead agency regarding this priority.
- to reduce litter in the areas highlighted by pro-active patrolling with partner agencies.
- to educate people using the area of their social responsibilities regarding litter.
- to improve the physical appearance of the area highlighted with the residents and district council.
- Area:Stroud Urban
- Priority:Parking issues in the following locations- Queens Drive, Cashes Green, Stroud; outside Cashes Green school; outside Prince Albert public house Rodbourough; parking on Walkley and Rodborough Hill
- Action:
- Stroud district council is the lead agency regarding this priority. The SCT will assist our partners in the over objective of this priority.
- to conduct a physical inspection of the area to establish what road and waiting restrictions are in place.
- to work with highways agency to provide guidance on parking restrictions if applicable.
- to assist in the education of inconsiderate motorists when they park their vehicles.

Stroud Police Promote ‘Boredom Busters’ For Young People
Stroud Police are promoting ‘boredom busters’ for young people in the town.
Officers from the local Safer Community Team (SCT) have organised for a leaflet outlining all the events, clubs and activities that are available to young people to be distributed across the town.
The first issue of the leaflet is currently being delivered and is available from Stroud Town Council and also at Archway School.
PCSOs and Stroud District Council Neighbourhood Wardens will also offer the leaflet to young people they meet when out on patrol throughout the area.
The leaflet gives the details of local youth groups, uniformed groups such as the St Johns Ambulance and Sea Cadets, sports activities and art, dance and culture groups.
This is one of a number of initiatives that the SCT, in collaboration with their partner agencies, are carrying out to address anti social behaviour in the town. Activities and clubs like these can make a real difference in reducing anti social behaviour by giving young people an activity to get involved in.

Cat Shot With Pellets Near Barrowfield Road - Appeal For Witnesses
Police in Stroud are appealing to local residents for information after a pet cat was shot with pellets in the Barrowfield Road area of the town.

Urgent Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Incident In Stroud
Stroud Police are making an urgent appeal for witnesses to a serious incident in the town on Saturday night, February 13.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from you if you were in the area of Brick Row or Parliament Street between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday night. You can call either 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 445 of February 13. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Stroud Event To Promote Road Safety
On Saturday February 6 nearly 100 people met with Special Constables, the local policing team and representatives from the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership, Neighbourhood Watch and Stroud District Council Wardens who were on hand at Stroud High Street and the Stroud Police Station as part of National Specials Weekend to offer important advice about road safety.

Cars Damaged In Freame Close, Chalford - Did You See Anything?
Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage when five vehicles were damaged in Freame Close in Chalford, Stroud at the end of last week.
Between 5pm on Thursday February 4 and 4am on Friday February 5 unknown offenders splashed a corrosive substance over the five cars; a silver Renault Clio, silver Ford Fiesta, yellow Peugeot saloon, blue Ford Focus and red Citroën C4.
The substance used is thought to be either paint stripper or glue.

Stroud SCT Encourage You To Follow Crime Prevention Advice To Keep Your Home Secure
The Stroud SCT are reminding those who live in the area to follow crime prevention advice to keep their homes secure.
The advice follows a number of daytime burglaries in the area.
- Don't leave valuables on display where they can easily be seen through a window
- Photograph items of jewellery, antiques and other items that may be difficult to describe.
- Always back up home computer records on disc and store them safely in case the computer is stolen.
- Mark valuable items with an indelible marker with your post code
- Consider purchasing a safe for storing valuables
- Don't keep large amounts of cash at home
- Dispose of all receipts and utility bills carefully to avoid criminals using your identity

Stroud Police Tackle Drugs Offences
In January the Stroud policing team carried out two drug warrants as part of their work to tackle drugs offences in the town.
On Sunday January 10 a drugs warrant was carried out in Cashes Green and officers seized a quantity of cannabis. A man was arrested and then charged with possession of drugs with intent to supply. He will appear at court at a later date.
Cannabis was also seized from an address in Mason Road on Tuesday January 12 and a man was given a caution for possession.

Graffiti Art Project With Young Gloucestershire Coming To Stroud Soon
The Stroud Safer Community Team (SCT) are currently working with Young Gloucestershire on a Graffiti Art Project to help reduce anti social behaviour in the area.
The project is still in its early stages at the moment but we'll keep you updated with the details as soon as we have them.
From talking to local residents the local policing team are aware that anti social behaviour is an issue of great importance to the local community and the graffiti project is just one of a number of initiatives the SCT are working on.
The SCT,Stroud District Council Neighbourhood Wardens and the Young Gloucestershire team are also working on initiatives to provide an outlet, via the Young Gloucestershire Bus/Team, to engage with young people in the Daniels Road/Mason Road area.
