Our local pledge to you is to supply you with your local community policing team contacts, dates of your next neighbourhood policing meetings, details of your local priorities and the work being carried out towards those priorities. Our commitment for SCT staff is to spend 80% of their time visibly working in your neighbourhood, tackling your priorities. - Priority:Pro-Active work to reduce incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour around Coopers View, Brockworth.
- Action:
- Directed high-visibility patrols at relevant times.
- Consideration for the use of CCTV cameras in the area to identify offenders.
- To robustly enforce the no-drinking zones currently in operation and deal pro-actively with any breaches.
- Area:Glevum West
- Priority:Proactive work to reduce Flytipping in the brook behind Brockworth Enterprise School.
- Action:
- High Visibility directed patrols to be conducted by uniformed officers at appropriate times.
- Liaise with partner agencies mainly Tewkesbury Borough Council.
- Area:Golden Vale
- Priority:Pro-Active work to reduce incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour in the vicinity of the Parkside (Ashpath) area of Churchdown.
- Action:
- High Visibility directed patrols to be conducted by uniformed officers at appropriate times.
- Consideration for the use of CCTV cameras in the area to identify offenders.
- Liaise with partner agencies, namely Severn Vale Housing and Tewkesbury Borough Council.
- Area:Golden Vale
- Priority:Pro-Active work to reduce vehicle crime in the vicinity of Station Road, Churchdown.
- Action:
- High Visibility directed patrols to be conducted by uniformed officers at appropriate times.
- Leaflet drops to local schools and businesses.
- Consideration for the use of CCTV cameras in the area to identify offenders.
- Area:Golden Vale
- Priority:Pro-Active work to reduce vehicle crime in the vicinity of Craven Drive, Churchdown.
- Action:
High Visibility directed patrols to be conducted by uniformed officers at appropriate times.
- Leaflet drops to local schools and businesses.
- Consideration for the use of CCTV cameras in the area to identify offenders.
- Area:Severn Banks
- Priority:Pro-Active work to engage with residents of the Willows Caravan Site and regular patrol of Sandhurst Lane.
- Action:
- Directed high-visibility patrols at relevant times.
- Liaise with partner agencies, namely Tewkesbury Borough Council and Gloucestershire County Council.
- Area:Severn Banks
- Priority:Consider the use of Double white lines along the A38 Tewkesbury road between Longford and Twigworth.
- Action:
- Liase with partner agencies, mainly Highways and local Parish councils.
- To reduce speeding, overtaking and accidents along the A38

Gloucester lies to the west of this area. We chose this name because of its historic reference to England's old capital city. It includes Hucclecote, Brockworth, Great Witcombe, Badgeworth and Shurdington

This area lies to the west of the A38 and is named due to the close proximity of the River Severn. It covers Hasfield, Ashleworth, Maisemore, Longford, Sandhurst, Twigworth, & Norton.

Responsible for GOLDEN VALE community.
Was the old Roman supply road into the capital Glevum. This area is between the A38 & the M5. It includes Down Hatherley, Staverton, Boddington, Innsworth and Churchdown.
We also have 7 Special Constables who give up their free time to help police CRE.

Truancy Sweep in Innsworth, Churchdown and Brockworth
On Wednesday February 24, 2010 Cheltenham Road East SCT officers along with three Education Welfare Officers, targeted the areas of Innsworth, Churchdown and Brockworth in a Truancy Sweep.
Seven students were stopped, four of whom had valid reasons to be off school.

Tag Rugby at Parton Manor Junior School
Members of the Cheltenham Road East Safer Community Team have started to teach tag rugby to pupils at Parton Manor Junior School. PCSOs Rees, Lawson and Mitchell will train all the pupils in year 6 and pick 12 of them to represent the school at the tag rugby tournament held by Gloucestershire Police. Each Safer Community Team trains one school in their area to take part in the tournament, which is likely to be held at Hartpury College in May.

Meet Your Local Policing Team
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) from the Cheltenham Road East Safer Community Team (SCT) will be at the Police Information Points (PIP) at various times and dates throughout this month. This enables members of the community the chance to ask any questions and discuss any local policing issues.
PIPs are a two-way communication point between the Police and the public, which enable residents to keep themselves up to date with local Police initiatives and appeals by displaying posters, leaflets and information.

Become a Key Individual
Cheltenham Road East Safer Community Team is committed to improving the influence local people have on our response to local problems.
We're looking for people to join our Key Individual Network (KIN). We want to know your thoughts and opinions on a range of issues that affect your neighbourhood. You don't have to belong to any other organisations or be involved any more than you want to. As a KIN member we will ask you to give us occasional local feedback, which in turn helps us to gain a more informed understanding of our community.
Main roles of the KIN
- Widen the consultation between the police and the local community.
- Give prompt information about significant changes in local tension and provide information of local issues.
- Enable community members to influence local policing and for the police to get increase information about issues affecting our neighbourhoods.
Benefits of the KIN
- Improves the quality of life for you and your neighbourhood.
- Provides a medium for the resolution of issues that arise within your neighbourhood.
- Provides an opportunity for the community to influence how their area is policed.
Once you become part of the KIN
Your personal details will not be used for any other purpose, or passed on to anyone else. You will be invited to meetings concerning setting priorities within your neighbourhood, and these take place every quarter. Outside these meetings we will carry out the majority of communication by phone, post or email.
You can resign from the KIN at any time.

Anchor Staying Put
Cheltenham Road East Safer Community Team work closely with ‘Anchor Staying Put’, a local based and locally funded home improvement agency, which provides help to allow elderly and vulnerable residents to remain in their own homes.
All residents who reside in the Tewkesbury Borough Council area are entitles to use the scheme, which will also offer confidential advice and assistance.
