Severnside News update
On the 19th January the Severnside Coordination Group meeting,covering all Severnside parishes (excluding Slimbridge and Cambridge) was held at Whitminster village hall.
The existing SARA plans :
- 'to reduce the anti social use of motor vehicles in Little Holbury,Whitminster'' and
- To reduce incidents of youths playing kerby in The Close,Whitminster''
were discussed and the panel were happy, that these issues had been resolved and agreed for these plans to be closed.
The New SARA plan was decided,linking in with the Slimbridge and Cambridge plan:
- To promote and expand Neighbourhood watch in Severnside

January 2012 continued
During January 2012 Pc Kelly Akers and Pcso Josh Griffiths completed speed checks in St John's road,Slimbridge and The Green, Frampton On Severn.
During these checks one motorist was issued words of advice about excess speed in Frampton.
We would like to remind motorists of the importance of keeping to the speed limits and the dangers excess speed can cause.
Severnside Community January Update
Slimbridge and Cambridge area
On the 11th January Slimbridge and Cambridge Neighbourhood Coordination Group (NCG) meeting took place. This followed a period of community engagement where Police asked local residents for their priorities and concerns. From this information the following report was completed and taken to the above meeting, where local residents discussed the existing SARA plan to reduce issues of speeding and congestion on St Johns Road, Slimbridge.
It was concluded that this issue will continue to be looked at by Slimbridge Parish Council and Mr Chris Riley from Gloucestershire Highways.
The new SARA plan for Slimbridge and Cambridge was decided:
To promote and expand Neighbourhood Watch.
