Purse Stolen from Elderly Woman in Shop in Cirencester

An elderly woman has had her purse stolen from her coat pocket as she was shopping in Cirencester.

The incident happened at between 1.30pm and 2pm on Tuesday June 12 at a shop in Cricklade Street in the town.

The woman, an 88-year-old from Cirencester, was shopping in the store and when she came to pay she noticed her purse was missing from her pocket.

Police want to speak to two women who were seen in the shop near to the lady at the time of the incident.

The first woman is described as being aged in her twenties, with long dark hair in a ponytail and a slim build, she was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

The second woman is described as being aged in her twenties, with light coloured long straight hair, she was wearing jeans and carrying a large black bag.
