War Medals Stolen in Wotton-Under-Edge Burglary

Four war medals that are of great sentimental value to a family have been stolen in a burglary in Wotton-Under-Edge.
The medals, honouring a First World War Major, were stolen when thieves forced entry to a home in Bradley Street between 9.30am on Friday April 6 and 3pm on Sunday April 15.
The star, British War and Victory WW1 medals and a Queen’s South Africa Medal were stolen along with a distinctive ‘Blackberry corporate-gift’ rucksack, Dell laptop, cash, a Sony video recorder, various pieces of jewellery and a gold pocket watch.
The medals are of great sentimental value and police are urging anyone who knows where they are to get in touch, which can be done anonymously via Crimestoppers, so that they can be returned to their rightful owner.
Investigating officers would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the burglary or any suspicious activity in the area.
Information can be given by calling Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 269 of April 15.
