This page will give you all the information regarding:
- What guidelines and rules are involved in attending our meetings, and also what type of Minimoto can be used.
The club has been formed in conjunction with Gloucestershire Police, Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucestershire Youth Service and the Youth Crime Prevention Team to provide a venue for the safe use of Minimoto bikes under strict guidelines set by the Auto Cycle Union (The governing body of motorcycle sport in the UK).
The club is open to young persons aged between 6 and 16 years of age.
Riders can use our mini bikes or bring their own (subject to strict guidelines details below)
Parental consent is a requirement to become a member.
Meetings will be held throughout the year (on a weekend) at Cheltenham Racecourse

In order to attend a meeting the riders must become a registered member of the ACU. This will provide insurance cover in respect of public liability, and personal accident for marshals and officials.
+ RIDERS ARE NOT COVERED FOR PERSONAL ACCIDENT +
Meetings will be held on prepared circuits under the control of qualified marshals.
MEETINGS ARE CLASSED AS PRACTICE SESSIONS AND ARE NOT COMPETATIVE RACES.
Riders will be charged £4.00 to participate in a meeting.
Strict guidelines govern the type of Minimoto which can be used.
- Cable assisted brakes to pads and discs
- 39-49cc air-cooled engine
- Cord Pull start
- No suspension
- Have appropriate chain guard correctly fitted
- Maximum wheel size 6.5 inches
*** If your machine does not conform to the above specification it cannot be used!***
All bikes are subject to safety checks before being allowed on the track
Riders must have the following safety equipment:-
- Eye Protection
- Elbow / Knee Pads
